Our Story
"Just one more cast!"
Our story starts with a passion, obsession and dream. Growing up in Southern Oregon provides many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. I joined the military when I was 18 years old and spent a year Iraq. After getting out of the military I became a trout bum, traveling Oregon, Utah and Montana. While in Montana I graduated from Sweetwater Travel Guide School. However, Salmon and Steelhead always brought me home to Southern Oregon.
I guided for an Outfitter for a couple years and then discovered I wanted to get more formal education. I found an Outdoor Adventure Leadership (OAL) degree at Southern Oregon University and used my GI Bill to obtain a Bachelors Degree. Through the OAL program, I’ve been fortunate to gain many skills and certifications that will prove useful throughout my career. I hope to share my knowledge and passion for the sport with many people through Floatin' Rogue.
Oregon is blessed with having year round fishing for a variety types of fish species. The Rogue River usually has Salmon and Steelhead moving year round! I hope you will join me on an adventure you will never forget.
